Hi all, I'm a bit of a noob so bear with me! I'm trying to remove the jackable rock sliders I have and replace with some side steps. Most of the 19mm bolts look pretty simple to remove, apart from the front end. The pic below shows the front drivers side.

There are 2 bolts holding a plate either side of this long bolt. However it looks like this bolt holds some of the subframe.

Any ideas how I get the nut and bolt off as to remove the front end bracket i'll need to drift the rather long bolt all the way out? I can undo the furthest back (you can't see it in the pic) however will anything fall down!?

Stick a bottle jack under the bulkhead foot while you take the bolt out.
Should stop any movement, although everything is kinda tied into each other and probably wouldn't move far anyway.

Just undo the nut on the bulkhead bolt and tap it back with a hammer far enough to remove the rock slider, shouldn't need to come all the way out just enough to clear the slider.

If you look at the picture it looks to me like theirs a bracket either side?

Oh hang on I didn't see the plate at the top of the picture. Do as Aaron says and support it with a jack
