Theres a 6000 sq ft building available with a leaky roof nearby in rayliegh, rent is £22000 but the rates are £27500pa.
Thats why I hate business rates ,they dont distinguish between big work with low turn over, and big business with high turnover.
Perhaps I need to move op north, but its a bit cold for my liking

Could have another one if you wanted to come to the promise land . Ton of places you could rent out up here. I was looking at a large unit across the road from my work a while ago. Was big enough for a wee bit of personal work, would have fitted two cars with ease and was in a secure industrial estate. 200 quid a month.

Sadly living 2 miles from the M1 prices round me for units are ridiculous, been looking for a local one for ages for my little business to rent, i'm running out of places to put sheds in the garden!

That's the ticket, move to gods chosen county (Yorkshire you heathens) rents are cheap, the beer's good and we have (in Sheffield at least) lots of engineering works still in business. A Land Rover specialist would fit in real well.

Think we have better weather than the south at the moment and in some parts of the north east they are practically paying folk to open businesses.
