Right il get meself one of them, how have you attached it??

It fits in nicely, sat on top of the lower intercooler hose/outlet, and pushed in under the wing top. No fixings or anything. Has been like that for over a year now, no problems.

Should have said you needed a filter while you was pickin the flywheel up mate, I have a new K+N you could have had for a tenner.:)

Ooo.. I might swing by next time im down there, is it one of the universal cone ones? Or for inside the air box?

Just a cone type K+N look alike

Got two on the V8

Could stick it on top of a snorkle but it would prob get nicked.:D

Crap on a 200.

How come? Personally I thought it sounded best with no exhaust or filter! Pure whistley goodness!

I'm pretty sure that little filter I have on now is too restrictive. A slight black haze is left under load. Will definately have to try that td housing again.

Next on the list for new bits is a straight through mid box and a new intermediate pipe (is the the bit infront of the mid box?) I want that whistle back! Sounded class on idle.

Buy a whistle and put it in the inlet:D

But why when theres no need to remove the original?
I honestly cant remember....It was back in the day that id just got into landys and had a few mates to do it all for me as id never worked on a car or anything before...But i remember it all being much easier to access both ends than the filter pictured I.E sealing with silicone etc...
But you are totally right now thinking back their probably wasnt much point in changing it...:D

Cheers for the info stuface, might have to go down that route if I can't get my airbox in.

Anyone know if you can adjust the throttle cable? When I first started her, she wouldn't idle, revs dropped far too low, so I adjusted it but now have a slack cable!

She should idle without any tension at all on the throttle cable, (i.e. you should be able to completely remove throttle cable, and it will still idle).

Sorry I couldn't find a pic.. But I'm sure some friends who are in their landys in the alps somewhere have pics...when they return I'll post some for reference...

Yehh it will now that I have adjusted it, it wouldn't before. But now on idle the cable is really slack, so I have to push the pedal about half way before it even does anything! I think the pedal hits the floor before full throttle on the pump!
