Thing about RF receiver is Land Rover knew about it long before production finished. And only made the newer version available after production ended. In my view at least all cars still under warranty should have had one retrofitted. They got away with murder with that one.

That's BMW for you, bit like VAG refusing refunds or compensation in the EU for emissions cheating, only in the USA after court action.

Oh dear, that's not good. Mine came back A1-OK 100% so clearly results vary.
Not sure it's the fault of Mr Sporty, I sent a completely dead FOB for a car I had just purchased, so I have no idea if the FOB really belonged to the car. As I said, it came back working which I could check on the bench, just had the wrong code.

yes it did.
thanks.
i go to your website and order one but wont be before next week.

is this just plug and play at the rf receiver ?

No problem - I have just finished making a batch of 15 of them, so have a decent level of stock for a change!
Yes, it plug inline between the RF receiver in the vehicle and the BECM - you use the old RF receiver, and then the filter just acts as the go-between filtering out everything but a valid P38 fob

Mine came back working, shame it doesn't match the car:( Maybe the previous owner bought it off Ebay:rolleyes:

Did it come back with what the fob code it was transmitting was?

I can see the output on my scope via a spare RF receiver but I cannot store the trace for interpretation.
Looking at the BECM, if I remember correctly, it just says "Invalid FOB code" received.
I have not bothered with it as with EKA and Immobiliser turned off, I can operate the car either with the one working FOB or using the key.
