can anyone tell me what the wires on the main plugs coming from the body of a 1.8 freelander go to/supply

having loads of trouble finding this info on the discs even tried getting a L series engine loom without look.

i plan to convert my 1.8 to a rover L series now going to use my sdi intercooled engine with Bosch ECU to make it easier as the other engine was using a rover ECU.

so now i need to wire the rover engine loom to fit the freelander body loom but as stated no where on the rave disc does it explain what the wires do or go to.:confused:

have been told the body looms are the same

can any ony help or sell me a freelander L series engine loom????

failing this i will have to find a petrol engine to refit but no fun in that :(

lucky you my spare time involves phone calls and hours on here :D

just called them was helpful but never had parts or couldnt tell me the wiring combo

Dont give up Dean!!

Your deisel coupe was fantastic - and the standard of work was spot on!!

This could be a very good little sideline for you and If I ever have to replace my engine I would consider a deisel conversion.

think i know what needs doing apart from the wiring now if i can get a loom or info to the wire outs that should be sorted

got 1 but its not on there or i just cant find it after approx 30 hrs of searching:eek:

i also had to do this on my coupe conversion using a rave disc i found it ok but the freebie disc seems not to have it:eek:

found another couple.

Formerly Imperial Rover, Rover SD1 and 800 breakers. Naze Lane Industrial Estate, Freckleton, Nr Preston. Now with a web site. Check them out for Mk1 and Mk2 parts inc spoilers and specialising in reconditioned gearboxes: manual, auto and torsen lsd. 01772 635728 email FRC800@hotmail.co.uk.

Bandit, are you sure Rave hasn't what you need like MHM suggests? There should be an Electrical library with sub sections like Connector; Fuse Details; Earth points and Headers dia's; plus Connector section. Am attaching typical from Connector section. ???????

hi

yes i have that and gives wire colour code but it dont show where it runs to or what its for, on the rover rave disc it gives the wire colour then the pin number and what it works, either i cant find it or its not on here:confused:

i have spent hours searching it but still cant see the details

called them and no good, anyone would think i was looking for rocking horse s*** :D

thought the bits for the coupe convert was hard to find :)


oh well keep looking bit peed as had to tax the thing to stop the clampers who are doing the rounds at the moment :mad:
 
just spoke to a friend of a friend and he told me the the guy a Simmons Commercials is a landy nut. i don't know him but a have seen his rides.
from what i gather they look after all the army fleet of landys as well as the big stuff 7.5 tonners and above. hope this helps
