Pretty sure my cut off solonoid isn’t supposed to come apart like this...
Check if it works.
it does look like that, just slides up and down the inner tube, but there should be an o ring on the bottom of the collar, probably still inside the top of your pump, get something hooked and fish it out

no total unrelated, it doesnt work that way, and yes there are two orings one i can see the othere should be under the lower collar, thats the one that shut your fuel off when the plunger goes downThe O-ring is still on it unless there are two?
So at least successfully diagnosed one issue. Now to find out why the glow plugs aren’t working. Or is this potentially causing the glow plug shut down?
It would make sense, if the fuel remains cut off then the glow plugs have nothing to heat and therefore may not be activated?

sorry just been looking at pics of solenoid and there does appear to be only one o ring fitted , not quite sure how that would work, but will find out tomorrow as ive got a pump lying on the floor in my workshop lolno total unrelated, it doesnt work that way, and yes there are two orings one i can see the othere should be under the lower collar, thats the one that shut your fuel off when the plunger goes down
.....Landy Zone is probably the best forum on the net for Land Rovers.....and the knowledge is second to none. We may take the rise, insult people and generally muck about, but the knowledge, help and skill level is beyond words.Righto. I’ve just cleaned up for dinner so will investigate that after work tomorrow.
Have to say thank you to everyone on here, great forum, very helpful. Virtual beers for everyone when I’m up and running again!
