Hi All,
I think the CV joint on the Wife's TD4 has gone as she said it knocks when turning corners. In an attempt to avert another costly garage bill I was planning on doing the job myself. I have the required axle stands and other tools, but I just wanted to ask whether I will need any special tools as part of the removal and fitting?
The other question I have is whether I actually remove the drive shift fully to fit a new joint?
In the past when I replaced one on a car many years ago I just replaced the whole shaft with a new one from a breakers yard.
Thanks
