The et47 vs 57 if they're same width wheel the 47s will sit 10mm outwards moreHi all. Long time, no speak! Life does get in the way sometimes, doesn't it!
I just googled this question about whether L494 wheels can bolt directly onto an L322 and it led me to this thread. From enquiring and the website above, as batman suggests, the bolt pattern appeares to be the same, at 5 x 120, as is the centre bore, at 72.6, but the offset is less at ET47, as opposed to ET57 on the L322 (I'm wanting to fit 20 inch wheels, fitted with 255/50 x 20 tyres, BTW). Is this slight difference significant?
Apologies for sounding like a newbie/lazy but I'm no wheel expert and, as usual on various forums, you read various opinions, from yes to no, of course.
I did read that 405 wheels (that's Range Rover, not Peugeot! ;-) ) will bolt straight on with the later model, conical head, wheel nuts (are they conical or tapered?).
If anyone could give a definitive answer, I would be very grateful (before splashing-out needlessly on the 405 wheels).
Many thanks and season's greetings!

If they sit outside the wheel-arch then they'll be illegal because any spray will go skywards.
Might get some odd effects with the wheel centre not aligned with the hub centre as well. Doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
Yeah for example my drift car i went from 17x7 et47 to 17x8 et20, the et is worked out on the wheel width so the 17x7 et47 vs et20 would be 27mm of diffrence, but with the 17x8 being a 25mm wider wheel its only 12mm out more, my old range rover td6 was on 20inx9 275/45r20 vs the oem 18x7 255/60/18 (unsure of et numbers) but they still sat within arches and didn't foul anythingIf they sit outside the wheel-arch then they'll be illegal because any spray will go skywards.
