If its good enough for an army landy its good enough for my rusty shed. Keep us informed of how it goes then and how the handlings improved but like I said its definitely my next big job as I can't stand it anymore. The lift and the ride that is :)

Can't open your link, but my tinternet is pants tonight so may be the problem.

Just have a quick search, but I think the terrafirma springs may have been on the avoid list, not positive as it has been over a day since somebody told me and my mind is a sieve.

Right today i measuered my 110 and one of the wolf tum,s at work to compare the differences in height.

My 110 is 23 inches high from centre of hub to the bottom of the wheel arch. This is all round my vehicle.

Now a 110 wolf is 19 inchs at the front but 22 at the rear. Wolfs do sit higher at the back due to weight and towing requirements.

Wolf and Kes what height are you pair running at? I,m looking at just doing the springs first and seeing how that effects my ride/handling, before i look at shocks.

Going to phone round tommrrow for springs as ma 110 has the self leveling damper? no doubt that will through spanners in the work with what types of spring to go for.

Can't do imperial measuring over 6" it messes with my brain all that 12" is 1' stuff. But just did a quick calc.

550mm / 25mm = 22" all all round with lift springs.

Now it's about 515mm which is about 20.5" ish with HD Britpart std height springs.

Don't forget mine is a 90 and the 110s do look like they sit higher at the back as standard.

Well just spoke to Dave at Famous Four very helpfull.:)

Ordered normal ride height front springs and non self leveling damper rear spings .

Should be here by monday and by late week i should be at normal height, unless the dampers need to go as well!

Will post pics before and after! ......bloody money trap 150 quid beer tokens gone!

Right last night i removed the old springs. As promised there is some photos for Wolf and Kes.

Changed them without removing the shocks, the front ones proved difficult but came out wea some wrestling.

The rear ones, well the drivers side took an hour to remove, bloody self leveling ram caused me loads of grief,

Anybody in north yorkshire want some HD 2 inch lift springs?

Looks much better to me, that's some drop. Mine still sits a touch higher than standard, which must be the HD springs.

Hope it handles better for you.

I think it looks much better to. Plus i,ve got some boost alloys wea 235/85/16s comming so should fill nicely.

She handels much better and some of the transfer box noises have gone!:). But i,ve noticed i need some new antiroll bar bushes next!

Only down side is the drivers side is sitting slightly lower than the other, hopefully this is the springs bedding in or somethings a miss!

It does look good and it if handles much better then that's a bonus. What's it like to drive now?

I believe that the drivers side spring is ever so slightly longer to compensate for the weight there (no derogatory remarks intended  ). Did you put the correct springs on the correct corners?

She handles much better. no more leaning when going down back roads to work! Hitting bumps aint as harsh.

I got allmarks on the back fitted correctly. The front springs were the same size and length, the old 2 " springs were the same length to, and any of the springs we fit at work are both the same length, or have i missed a trick here?

Balls in ma rush to change all the springs whilst on duty i,ve placed one of the fronts springs the wrong wea round!

I think i,m right in saying the "cone/tail end" is lower and the "flat end" with the 2 coils close together is placed uppermost!

An other learning curve!...............need to pay more attention and not rush jobs whilst on duty!

Working on your own vehicle in the queens time!? That's shocking ;).

Has that sorted the problem of the drivers side appearing to sit lower then?

Well it was working on ma toy or shouting at wee baw bags doing wrong on camp!:D And work has some usefull toys/lifts to aid me!

I haven,t had a chance yet to swap it round, this week looks tied up and at the weekend i,ve some quick fixes/part replacements to do outside the house.........i,ll let you know though how it goes!
