Hi New Member Here,

I recently bought a Disco ES TD5 AUTO 2003 and I have a new seal to replace the old warn and ripped one on the divers window can anyone tell me if this is an easy job and is it just a case of rip out the old and push in the new or is it more complicated, I'm guessing i'll need to lube the new one in some way but any help would be much appreciated.

If in doubt add lube

I did that about 9 months three weeks ago, hence the reason I bought the disco in the first place

Tried the hot soapy water method and it was a pain in the a##e so spent half an hour taking the door window frame off and fitted the new seal this way, once the frame was off it took me 5 minutes to insert the new seal and another half an hour putting the door back together, happy with doing it this way as I know for certain that the seal has gone all the way round and is correctly in place.

I've been looking to replace the seals on my D2 2003. Looking at Rimmer Bros website there OE ones are only available in Sonar Blue, mine are Black not blue so I'm guessing I need to get non OE ones???
