I thought about becoming an RAC type recovery man a few years ago, they'd advertized in the local paper, but the monies crap and the hours are even worse. And from what experience I've had of them you need a labotomy too.
you need an hgv class 1 licence to be a recovery driver. i used to work for the aa and also 2 private contractors, one of which is around the corner from you lenny (in moreton) the hours are diabolical, the money is **** poor and you are out all weather. you also have to work bank holidays and christmas day(this is a must). you nevr know what day it is, or wjhether its day or nightm you become a complete zombie and its the most thankless job i have ever done, but if you still interested lenny, don't, repeat don't go to the one in moreton cos the bloke who owns it, and his son are obnoxious ****ers
I used to be a recovery driver. Class 2 H.G.V. licence and Lorry Loader Crane Licence. ( handy for picking up the squashed ones with all the blood and snot in 'em ). Crap money, crap hours , crap conditions. Don't do it!
