Good stuff. I found the digitalkaos site too.
Write the code on a sticker and stick it in the glove box, for future reference. ;)

Well to finish the story the dealer came back having emailed land rover and said
_2311.

STILL WRONG

To summarise

IF you have the Becker Traffic Pro BE 4765 and you have no code.,
1/. Get the removal keys shown above
2/. Remove radio and look for serial number
3/. Join digitalkaos.co.uk and ask in the thread about decoding these units
4/. Hope you get an answer from them, cos Land Rover themselves don't know

Code now on label inside radio front panel and in radio handbook

Good to hear you've got it sorted..have the same satnav/radio in my daughters TD4. Will be double checking codes
when I get back to UK.

Yes. the last time you want to be searching for it is when you have installed a new battery and you need the vehicle back on the road
As a final aside, some other weird stuff also happened post new battery

The trip counter forgot itself
The clock is now wrong
The tailgate window wiper was operating whenever the main wipers were engaged, but that seems to have cleared now

Think my codes are in the Owners Manual 'gumpf' but will double check anyway....have used online resources before to get radio codes for quite a few older systems but it's a pain in the obvious when you realise you don't have it!

I have an ex girlfriend who regularly forgot herself.....can't you just change the clock manually......and isn't the rear wash wipe on a different circuit from the main wipers?

Where's Nodge when you need him?

The trip computer sometimes gets cleared, sometimes not.
Clock will need resetting.;)
The rear window needs calibration, for it to work correctly.
The rear wiper will start if the front wipers are on and reverse is selected. ;)

Wow, LR thought of 'some fings' when they went through the list of driver aids on the FL1... A cynic would automatically think that anything that 'works' without switching it on...(the rear wash wipe/when in reverse if wipers are on) that something 'is a miss' and start investigating. LR, the company that just keeps on 'giving'..... Except when it doesn't....

I think the rear wiper thing was pinched from Rover.

Col

Yes. The auto rear wiper operation in reverse first appeared on the Rover 800, before filtering down to all other Rovers as new models appeared. By the early 90s all Rovers had auto/reverse rear wipers.

I think they in tern borrowed this from Volvo
