Hello again.
I took apart the wiper motor today to change the plastic gear as it would stop midway and needed a little nudge to continue. Changed the gear and the wiper did not work. So I put a constant 12v onto the wiper and it started working, the problem is that it doesn't return to the rest position after completing the cycle and stops anywhere.
The second issue is the rear washer. When I put 12v to the washer pump, the water squirts about perfectly, but when pushing the stalk back, absolutely nothing from the washer pump.
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot

Year and model of car would help.

Sorry about that. 2004 Vogue TD6

It stops in different places each time after running through the cycles. The ECU has no signs of corrosion

Probably no magnet in the new gear to activate the reed switch and tell the motor where to stop, I had the same problem!
