Hi All,
I have a disco 2 and the rear sunroof is not opening. I have taken the motor out but that is working without a bother. However when I put it back it wont open the sunroof.
Anyone what is best to use to get the rail free of crap without removing the whole sunroof?

The motor was previously seized and I got them working again with a lot of WD40 and lightly sanding the contacts.

hi,i used the handle of a small teaspoon to clear mine,
then poked a thin piece of wire down the drain holes to
clear them of crud,its mostly leaves which get in and
block them up.

then i sealed them up with a black bitumen sealer.
that did the trick.

Just remove the glass and you will have access to the drives and tracks, clean and then lightly grease.

Thanks Lads. I will try to remove the glass and clean as described. I will report back as how I got on!

That is better than a D3 with the sunroof open for 2 days of rain coming down and then stuck in Park. Count your blessings
