Hello,

I have a 93, 3dr disco 1 with 165k on the clock. She is in pretty good nick, and, whilst the car is my daily working vehicle, rear seats removed, turned into a van, it is in need of a new rear floor and body mount. I have been searching the web to see if this job can be done easily ( I am a complete novice mechanic) myself or if i will need some professional help. Does anyone know how much it would cost (approx) to have fixed by a professional?

Also I have just bought a rear load guard/bulkhead. It comes with a plate that fixes to the floor and the bulkhead fixes to that. However, I do not have any fixings, where can I get these from? It has brackets to fix at the top, I presume to the rear grab handles, however, I have no idea how, and again, no actual fixings/bots etc.

Any help would be muchly appreciated!!

hi i had the same prob in my 1994 disco couldnt find a floor any where i was quoted £180 to have it done so i brought a sheet of steel used the rubber carpet as a template to draw round cut it out and welded the whole lot in i carry alot of weight around and it still seems solid hope this helps

Thank you, never thought of using the rubber mat as a template!!!

Im assuming I would be able to get hold of a body mount, even if I have to make my own floor, and this just fixes to the chassis as well as the floor?

Any ideas on how the load guard fixes to the inside of th disco?

yu mite be right, but they are always adding stuff - mite be worth a call. Always found them to be helpful.
