Is there a weld in repair panel to repair a discovery 1 3 door rear arch?

I don't want to have to remove the quarter panel.

See picture for location.

It's where the arch meets the ali quarter panel.

There the arches bonded to the skin of the quarter panel??

Help would be great appreciated

Thanks

Remove the rear quarter panel.

The fin seal has failed and if that's where I think it is then the post will need attention too, you may get away with a nice sheet metal repair but I doubts it.

Mine looks similar in many respects, wheel tub and boot floor side piece later, it looks a lot betterer :)

Gutted.
Is it not repairable from inside the car ?

Cheers i might patch what I can for now and save up to have a body shop remove the quarter panel. It looks a scary job removing it!

Took me an hour to remove the rear quarter panel, makes life really easy and you get to properly repair it and anything else you find and get it all rust treated and painted while you are in there.

It's not a hard job, honest.

As dd said - we’ve both done this. The seal disappears, **** flicks up there and decorated the rear quarter inner then the moisture chews up the inner rear, arch and also the bottom of the pillar.
Absolutely no point trying to repair without it off. It’s a few rivets and bolts mate

Nice one for the help guys. It's abit daunting taking the quarter panel of with it being a 3 door

Look in my build thread, I've had both mine off and it was worth every minute of it as the rot was worse than I thought and needed a lot more attention than first envisioned.

Pm one of us if you need help mate. Dd had 3 door. I have a 5 but won’t be much different. A lot of jobs may be daunting but you’ll learn as you go with the landy. You will be happy you did it yourself, save money and gain knowledge. You’ll need some tiger seal or similar to stick back on. Don’t use something silicon based. I use stuff called puraflex 40 for pretty much everything that I stick together including as seam seal. Get it from tool station.
Get it clean, weld it up underneath where required then coat and seal it
