Hi Mozz, you had the Select Neutral message before we changed the motor here in the Isle of Man as you were stuck in low range. Saying you had accidentally moved the gear lever to low range whilst driving and moved it quickly back again. On taking your motor off and looking at it much later it wasn't going full travel and why it stuck in low range. When fitting the replacement motor I turned the shaft to align with the replacement motors position. On start up you were able to select both high and low ratios and no message or lights until you got back to the UK. You went to Emmotts and the tried another motor or two and swopped the ECU to no avail, I suggested they (as they were working on it) check the two connectors on the BECM (white on the transmission side and black on the front) at the same time some relays were changed?? and diagnostic machine attached? all seemed OK but its gone again and you sent the BECM to have it checked over but problem still....... I understand that Emmotts put back both motor and ECU you had!
May I suggest you try to select Neutral by using fuse 11 procedure again as at least the ECU will know where the transmission lever is. After, remove fuse 11 and try it?
ps it is quite easy to remove the motor and by putting a 12v supply to the plug you can drive it back and forth it you think it is back to front some way? to me it appears to only go on one way.
BECMs arenot easy to check unless they are loaded: check out
