just spurred on I have bought 2 new old stock nitro engines for a couple of projects I have upstairs that I haven't got round to doing previously.
Japanese so hopefully reasonable for messing around .15 £20 each

From memory the thunder tigre 4x4 rc car the prat that owned it before bent the conrod and never got it to run right with new conrod
(scored bore ment it flooded screamed uncontrollably and stalled) bounght it for £20 with a gallon of fuel and various other sundries.

Then there is some nasty cheap monster truck, person bought it and gave up as it has a couple of poorly designed steering links that pop off and an engine that looks like a Friday night special- they gave up as engine is some odd long shaft junk bought it for the bits with it-through it in a cupboard and there it has sat.

they had a carpet race the other sunday and had mardave races never heard of them before ,seem to roll over alot :)

mine never did it had a steel chassis, that now i come to think about it looked a lot like a landie, low c of g and plenty of get up and go.

okay i have a zin zih power zone zxi powered pile of crap- forgot it wants dampers rear, modified steering links as hopeless. So I may fix it out of spares as I have found along crank, clutch and flywheel for it.

I've also got a set of chrome wheels I found in the junk collection I have and fitted to the thunder tiger 4x4 rc race car-complete less engine.

My experience is cheap nitro rc cars are just junk, bought a few nice rc cars and repaired and resold them.

The thunder tiger race car should be very very quick even without tuned pipe from prior experience, the zin zih monster truck I think I'll strip diff to make sure it isn't made of **** like the rest of it and go from there.

my main monster truck has a force 15 and that needed to be broken in and is still tight as I have only put maybe 3rd of a gallon through it and run as per manual to break it in, hopefully some more runs and it will be upto full performance.

The two engines I bought it appears the complaints are due to customers not following running in proceedures- so I will pay special attention to them.
