I've got a G reg (late 80's not he earlier one) V8 Automatic Petrol Range Rover that would make an Ideal restoration project for someone that has the time.

Up untill 14months ago it was in Daily use but got too expensive to run daily, petrol prices etc.... so it was parked up, Now I've decided to sell it. I Put a brand new battery on it this morning, and It started straight away.
It is going to need attention, in the engine and body work if its to be MOT'd again, or with a bit of work and tweeking it would make a craking offroader for some one, of if you so wish, strip down and re build. Im looking for about £550 notes for it. Any one interested?

If so get in touch an I can send you as many pictures as you like within a couple of days.

Ive also got 2 others Rangies, diesels, E reg ish I think, these are none runners, one has a good engine but is pretty much nackerd otherwise, and the other again needs attention but the engine (Diesel) needs rings, radiator and one or two other bits and bobs to make it run and the body work will need a dose of looking at, again a project for some one if any one that has the time etc. Again I can send photos if anyones interested, bearing in mind I'm open to offers but these 2 are worth at least £250 scrapped each, dont like scrapping landies when theres people out there who'd love them.
I'm open to questions gents..
Ps Im In Llangollen North Wales, and any buyer would have to collect.
Thanks

Im pretty sure its the 200Tdi, its the standard 4 cyl diesel that was fitted to the range rover during the E Reg period. Bear in mind some clown drove this truck into a brick wall and wrote it off so the front end is missing, So you prety much have the Engine block, turbo manifold, diesel pump and what ever actually sits on the engine block, it was bought for the purpose of swapping the engine with another but never got completed. When it last ran about 18 months ago it sounded sweet. Anything else you ned to know?
Regards
LL

Hi LL, Thanks for the photo,s unfortunately for me, the diesel engine you describe as a TDi isn't - its a VM Turbo Diesel not what I am looking for I'm afraid.
Thanks again

Ok No problem sorry to have got the "oil flowing" only to stall later. Humour me, VM engine.... not come accross that before, where can i get detail so i can put the bugger on Ebay?

Hi LL,
The VM was the engine supplied in the diesel Range Rovers before the TDi came along. It is also fitted by Jeep to the diesel Cherokee's well into the 1990's.
As a conversion most landy people wouldn't touch it but as a direct replacement for a knackered one its probably well sought after.
I would start a new thread asking about it you should get some info here.
Good luck with ebay
