If MPG isn't an issue, but reliability is then go for the V8 petrol version not TDV6. Diesel gearboxs are weak and if you look through this forum you'll see alot of them failing. V8 gearbox is different and seems to be more reliable. Plus you get the nice sound of a V8 rather than a rattly diesel that way too!
As a whole I think L322's are that unreliable if you service them properly and don't drive them like they are stolen!
Not that bothered about the MPG really, just if it can do more than why not get it mapped ? its still doing better MPG than my freelander TD4 that was tuned on the max settings.
never been one for petrol engines, dont like the way they work, sound etc.. i quite actually like the sound of the diesels, there quite loud and hence everyone you pass looks to see WTF the noise is ! lol
iv got the earlier TD6 engine not the newer tdv6, as from what i have heard the TDv6 are slightly under powered ?
