What are the readings from the diagnostics, re turbo rpm and fuel pressure..anything else irregular ?

healthy turbo should be 735/750rpm at idle, if you have a live reader you can monitor it on road to check operation, obviously you can check the other relevant readings or all readings live on road.
You can monitor the boost pressure while pressing the pedal as well as on the road speed but not the speed of the actual turbo.
True, the turbo won't spool up properly at a stand still
