Hi guys went car wash and rear wiper got stuck and now it's going in reverse getting stuck ok in middle s until I give it a pull along,.i did do the DIY cog repair inside as it was worn out due to the wiper being stuck in car wash but since then it's still been going reverse backwards :/

Are you confident that you put it back in the correct starting position?

Do you mean it's wiping right left right left instead of left right left right?

Yes I did put cog replacement back in basically if you look at wiper it's going backwards right to left wipe like the motor is gone in reverse mode since it got caught in car wash .

Yes right left right left so I have to set the wiper arm that way as motor is turning from right to left which before was other way around dunno why this has happened seems like motor home into reverse mode wierd :/

The only way the motor will run backwards is if the pos and neg have been transposed.

Anyone know if the rear wiper is required for MOT?

Just found reasonable resource online stating it doesn't need to work but missing impede the rear view when not in use
