Faulty in tank fuel pump is a possibility. Water in the fuel filter is another. How full was the tank?driving out today in the 2001 p38 and the revs dropped and the engine management light came on, i took my foot off the accelerator the engine management light went out and it was back to normal this happened twice today any suggestions many thanks steve
That sounds like the in tank pump has failed, cutting out with low fuel in the tank is the give away, with the tank over half full it may be OK except going up hill. You can check by dropping the fuel filter, putting a bowl under and turning on the ignition with the engine cold. The quantity that should come out is, I think 180ml, in 10 seconds, you can check in the tech archive for the correct figure.Thanks for the information mr datatek about my p38 cutting out it was quite low on fuel approx about quarter of a tank’ it’s happened three times up to now but it happened twice on one journey last week the only other time was about three months ago I’ve got another small problem no 1 and no 3 injectors are bubbling around the bottom of the injectors many thanks

Насос в баке,по заводу,качает давление 0,5.Если,подключится к системе(топливной),с манометром,можно увидеть.Всё ли,в порядке с этой деталью.
По хорошему,снять бак,и вымыть его(внутри)от всяких загрязнений.Со временем,если,его не чистили,там,может быть,помимо воды,много,другой гадости...
