Ok well thank you, I needed to ask, I don’t have a facility to do the work and I’m recovering from a nasty illness so I don’t really have any strength to carry out the work, I will try and find a garage, thank you to you for advice and the offer of tooling.
Kind regards

Dean

If you don't mind driving to Telford you can borrow mine (the 21 piece one).
£100 deposit incase you don't return it. Returned in full if you haven't broke anything. £200 deposit and you can borrow the socket, breaker bar, hub puller and torque wrench to get the hub off as well as the press tool.
Hub puller is not needed.

Hub puller is not needed.
Not normally no but in my case the abs sensor was welded in preventing removal of the drive shaft. The hub puller enabled me to pull it out but obviously damaging the reluctor shroud in the process. Thrapping an old disc didn't work but the puller did. Shroud hole was cut into a slot to avoid the issue in the future.
Pig of a job and I don't fancy doing it again. I think mine was the extreme of rusty seized poop though as the pics showed.

ABS sensors can be a nightmare in itself. Don’t mention it to the garage and leave it to them if you are unwell. Ball joints won’t be an issue for them they’ll have the kit. So only question is what brand ball joints do you put in?

Well the good news is the abs sensors are new required them for the mot in November, and I was looking at the moog ball joints but I’m happy to receive advice and thank you to all that have commented on this subject

If the ABS sensors have recently been replaced, the job is a breeze.

Yes for two years running, I had the axel seals replaced as they were leaking so when the hub was removed the mechanic said ball joints need changing front right, hence I want it done
So, should be an easy job as both the sensors and the hub have been out recently.

There`s only one way to learn, and you get great satisfaction when its done and save shed loads:D

Well I have just had a reply from a local garage here in Malvern regards to ball joints, they don’t want to do the job as it’s a horrible job to do, so it looks like I’m on my own

Not much of a garage. I'm an ancient amateur and I have recently done them on both my P38's.

I've done it three bloody times now on three different buses. Just make sure you oil the clamp thread every time you go to press a ball joint.
Load the reassure up until you dare not turn any more and hit the ball joints surrounding metal work. Normally it'll pop and loosen a touch, then load the clamp again and hit. it should press out from there.
Make sure the ball joints are parallel to the holes before pressing back in!!
And.....and...... And do not turn the little collar under the bottom ball joint as it alignes the drive axle and hub with the axle casing seal!!

Being as the axle seals have been changed twice for leakage I wonder if it's running out of enlignment anyway?.
