I want to get one of these for my 02 TD4 but I think they were for earlier ones (had one in my '99 XDi).
Does anyone know if the wiring is different?

Thanks that would be helpful, if not too inconvenient!I might have a standard FL1 radio in storage. I'll take a look, later in the weekend, if it helps?
Thanks - yes I managed to slide part of it sideways but wasn't sure what it did. I'll see what I can pull outThat’s a Quadlock connector and the outer part of the connector slides to release the two sections
The standard radio at that age (and connector) was known as C42
In fact @Nodge68 would you be interested in selling the one you have?I might have a standard FL1 radio in storage. I'll take a look, later in the weekend, if it helps?
OP if Nodge can't find his I have one as attached.

EDIT: forgot to says, it's out of an 02 GS (3 Door)
I hadn't thought of a CD changer. I see that the Alpine units they used were £700 thoughThat's lucky, as it appears I got rid of a lot of Freelander stuff a while back, an early FL1 HU with it. I have a CD changer, which I think might be FL1 though.
The multi changer was always expensive, even second hand they're expensive.I see that the Alpine units they used were £700 though
You can have it, but you need to make sure it's the correct one for your HU, as I believe there are a couple of models. And you'll need the wiring to go with it, as I don't think I have that. How much were you thinking for yours?
This one is the "C42" changer - I'm hoping that means it works with the C42 radio - no necessarilly true I realise. The multi changer was always expensive, even second hand they're expensive.

If you can find out what model multi-changer you need, I'll check I've got it.
