2011 Defender 110
Standard Land Rover audio system from 2011 with CD.
I had a problem with a CD coming out of the audio system, but I tried a couple of days later and the CD system worked fine.
Then a couple of days later I heard music in the Rover even though the ignition was off (and they key out). I open the door and turned off the radio; however, within a few seconds the radio came back on. I then turned on the ignition, turned the radio on-off a couple of times leaving it off. Then I turned off the ignition, but within 30 seconds the radio came on again.
To keep the radio from running down the battery I did the following:
- pulled out the F44 audio system fuse, but it did not help
- pulled out the F30 audio/instrument group/clock/diagnos and it stopped.
I took the Rover into the dealer in Malmö, Sweden to look at this and a couple of other problems. They put in a new fuse and it appeared to work fine. However, a couple of days later the problem has reappeared. Ive asked the service department about the problem but they have not encountered it before.
Any ideas?
