Great you got to the bottom of this, a true forum effort in resolving same, am noting all of this down!!!

The Nissans radiator works a lot better than original style radiator (checking its for the 2.5 diesel....quality of Britpart radiator for V8?), better quality etc? Best to test Thermostat before inserting plus use the metal w/pump, what about doing top and bottom hoses too? Expansion tank and its hose are troublesome too?

Well so far there's been no over heating but the bloody thing is using water, around a full header tank per 800 - 1000 miles... And using oil too which it's never done before... No oil in water or water in oil.. Noticed a little smoke on tick over the other day not sure if it was doing this before as never really noticed.

Please tell me this isn't what I think it it....

You need a static test rig on it. Could be as little as cap knackered.
 
Checked the footwell today and plastic trims around ducting.. Soaked with antifreeze..

O ring replacement it is then :)
