I paid more for what was advertised as genuine land rover hub caps. They've come. I contacted seller and he said he just put them in these bags which is bollox OR am I missing something on yhe labels. The hub caps aren't branded

What's a sensible counter response to this reply I've had from the supplier?

Thank you for sending us the picture. Please be assured these are Genuine Land Rover parts. As you can see on the sticker the brand is LR, these are in Bearmach packaging as they were supplied to us by Bearmach.

Quite possible. Bearmach are a wholesaler, they don't make anything.

In any case, these are old vehicles, it will not pay for someone to set up separate factories to make the plastic caps.
Quite probable that all the caps are the same, they just go in different bags.
Same applies to many other parts, that is how the motor industry works.
 
If they are quite pliable and dull looking, slight grainy finish they are good ones. If they are quite stiff and shiny they are not good.
As said, warm them up first, line it up even and level then a sharp smack with a rubber or wooden mallet to seat them.
