Apart from the price looking too steep, what are your thoughts on this? At the marked price it's above my budget and I've not even looked at it yet, plus it's registered as commercial - can you keep it like that of your not a business? Makes the tax more affordable.
It's higher than average mileage but I'll only do fairly low miles.
Is it worth looking at of i can get the price down?

linky?
and yes you can keep a commerciall as far as I know.
My mate who did recovery with his, only for expenses never said owt about it.

That looks very nice, seems very reasonable price to.

Cold start, any rattles at all?
Last belts?
Notice they offer 3 mths warranty, whereas I believe in UK law it is 6 mths for 2nd hand cars no matter what the dealer says? no need to mention that bit just some ammo should things go wrong.

Mot says it had new front arms very recently.

Commercial with rear seat mods, quite common I guess for tax paying new car users to get the lower BIK tax rate?

Like all car purchases it is very much "caveat emptor" but I really wish you well if you decide to go for it.
I paid "silly money" for my P38 and it has thrown a few surprises, but no broken cranks (yet).
If it is what you would like and you can manage the cost then perhaps you deserve to treat yourself.
You can't come back in a next life and do it. ;)

Does the sdv6 suffer the same as the tdv6 ie cranks and oil pumps? Thought the 3 litre was a bit more reliable?
My 38 was fairly cheap and i thought i went in eyes open, but too much kept going wrong and you just have to draw a line at some point. To be honest I'm not 100% sure what's up with it now but have had enough plus it's only getting older and it's supposed to be a daily.

Thought 12-13 was a bit more realistic for the price but i have much to base that on
Not even looked at it in the flesh, just wondering if it was worth looking based on the ad :)
Anything specific i should look out for that might not be obvious? A thorough test drive with a hefty right foot and evert-button press goes without saying

Tbh from what I have read it is all engine related
Main one is the crank failing, but as it is over 120k I guess it has stood the test of time.
Intake manifolds cracking, quite expensive job labour wise.
Turbo drain pipe mod which if not done causes heavy smoke on first hard acceleration of the day.

Have shufty at the sills lower edges where outer meets inner/rear archs as the trim bit falls off and it tends to hide rust, though I do think car is to new for them to be real issues.
65 plate should be adblue ie Euro6 which is good for future resale value.
I actually think it is a really good price at 15.

You were supposed to talk me out of it, not say it's a decent price haha

If it smokes, can the drain mod be done or is it too late? Will it affect the dpf?
I know frig all about dieseased motors :(
