You were supposed to talk me out of it, not say it's a decent price haha

If it smokes, can the drain mod be done or is it too late? Will it affect the dpf?
I know frig all about dieseased motors :(

Yes it is literally a turbo oil drain pipe mod to make sure all the oil can get back to the sump

Lots of nice p38 diesels about and you've got some spares and you've got a nanocom and they are betterer and coolerer. :)

Notice they offer 3 mths warranty, whereas I believe in UK law it is 6 mths for 2nd hand cars no matter what the dealer says? no need to mention that bit just some ammo should things go wrong.

You mean when it goes wrong.
Do you know if the warranty will cover crankshaft failure?

From what I've read, use the right oil and change regularly, don't hoof it when cold and don't sustain high engine loads?

Sadly I don't think it is a simple as that with the 3.0 SDV6.
It was a good thread I read sometime back where a bloke reckoned it could be an injector problem overloading one or two cylinders, he duspected this is what causes the crank to fail at its weakest point.
On the earlier 2.7 version you can check the cylinder balance using diagnostic tools and see when/if they are going wrong.
On the 3 L version you cannot do this!

As long as you dont suffer with any LEZ/ULEZ zones otherwise you would have to go 405 2015, I think. But that would probably blow the budget;)

Much better engine and auto box so, yep.
Oh hang on, no heated/cooled seats;).

J
It's got buttons for heated seats front and rear plus heated wheel

Oh so it has:oops:, Ours has dials next to the clock maybe cos ours are heated/cooled seats.

Went to look at it, of all the cars to choose from, they've lent it out. I can go see it tomorrow.. anything i should look out for? Don't know much about these. Only part history, 7 stamps, don't know if that's the first or last 7.
Is this the engine that needs the oil pump replacing?
