I'm doing it on google maps as I can work of satellite pictures :) I'll PM paul and check with him on the grizedale/parkamoor one as them two confuse me

So far there is only one legal lane I can find on your route. The others either don't exist, are TRO'd, footpaths, bridleways etc etc.

Oh and better delete it from Viewranger, dont want any innocent people following it :D:D:D

Theres more than one on there

been up there...

ya cant go over the top, ya just drive up, turn round and drive back down...

We went earlier this year, it is closed and you do have to turn round .. still worthwhile though!

OK, just my view on this.

I can live with laning in the snow, not sure I see the point of driving over Hardnott and Wrynose on tarmac, potentially on ice.

If you are not using any local knowledge of these lanes, and judging from a few checks on trialwise, you aren't.

Why dont we beg a route from someone like Paul D. I know he has one.

At least them we will be legal

Just reading the thread .. send me what you've got SueW, DrEvil, (gpx is best) I'll at least check it out for legality and maybe offer a few suggestions .. :)

Cool thanks well if you stick to the current first route ideally we'd be running round from hawkshead over the two lanes there that go round the old quarry then over towards bootle fell.
Down the road back towards coniston/grizedale/grizebeck area for some slightly more difficult ones

Will send you a pm

Sorted it, I think!

Google earth is far easier to map :) Such a shame walna scar is closed now, would have been a nice trip over

this trip is sounding entertaining, i may put a sign on my roof that says 'i'm just following him >' for the police heliopter

This is sounding like a good story with all the do it this way do it that way that's why i don't do leading. But i do do i go first on the scary bits hay Suew?
All i do is follow my leader and if anyone gets stuck i will help sort them out best way i can. Getting my winch bumper this week so may have a winch on by then.

Yep you go first on the scary bits when I end up having to lead. You have to admit I didn't get lost and all the lanes were legal though :p

You are in the Docs group :D:D:D So you will be recovering his Landy, better get that winch on in a hurry :D:D
