I need to put together a map for day two, will collaborate with Paul if he's still got his maps if not I may need to go borrow a proper OS paper map

Paul will still have his maps, they are electronic and he has uploaded a lot of it to a sharing site.

I'm just mapping stile end onto day two although if we have five groups we could split and some could do one route one day and the others the next

Ok, gone on the OS maps and had a look

Mapped out a second day! Second ones going to be a lot easier well unless you want style end on the second day ?

My thinking was as most of you will be wanting the M6 we finish in Kendal so you can all feck off back down south or eastwards :p

Scrap that post  we're not having it on the map! Just incase someone tries to be a hero :p

Excuse me

At least half of us wont be going anywhere near the M6 :p:p

Nasty Lancashire route at the wrong side of the Pennines

Well it still leaves you near the A1 ;)

Doc, I had cause to question your map reading yesterday. Now I am seriously concerned :eek:

Kendal is nowhere near the flaming A1, and the A1 does not feature in any routes back to where I live. :p:p:p:p:p

You know what I mean!

You get to the M6 roundabout and you can either go straight across and head towards the A1 or turn right and head down south on the M6 :p

Anyway I've transfered the OS map lanes onto google earth and we can either split it into two days with mixed laning and on road or one thats more on road than laning but it would then contain the old coach road and a couple of other nice gentle ones as well as a very scratchy one which I probably wont fit down in the series

I challenge you to find a sign on that roundabout that mentions the A1

It doesn't but I know the route :p drive straight down the A65 towards the A1, I drove it on saturday :D

I feel sorry for my gate bitch having to put up with me (and you lot :behindsofa:) for a whole weekend:D :p

Just make sure your gate bitch practices gate descriptions before the trip. Standards have to be kept up :D:D:D:D:D

Oi! :p :D

The M6 has history - the first motorway! (Still nasty I admit)

The M55 to Blackpool comes off it at Broughton... and that motorway had the distinction of being TVR's wind tunnel

The gate bitch will need a crash course in gate description techniques as it's their first greenlane outing:eek: BUT i will endeavour to make sure gate bitch is fully trained :D:D:D:D
