Hi all great to be on here and great to have finally purchased my first defender 90. It is a 90 pick up in green, 1999. Purchased from a friend who owns an engineering business. He installed a new galv chassis and a fully re built TD5 engine at roughly 60,000 miles (now covered 90,000). The same engineer friend is going to convert my 90 into a heritage style 90 with a Keswick green re spray, sand soft top, and all the trimmings (I know Keswick isn’t traditional heritage) will be a full rebuild at a cost of circa £16k. Would anyone know what it may be worth once completed? Also will have a few items for sale such as 5 x boost alloy wheels with continental tyres (almost new), headliner, roof and cab and a few other bits. Feel free to chat! Cheers

Welcome:)

I would leave it as it is and save the money for repairs :D.

rather than pay more and think you have something of value to others;)

I’ve just started a 1997 300TDI restoration, waiting on delivery of my chassis. I hope it doesn’t end up costing £16k!
I’ll be looking for headlining, roof and cab in the future.

Mine is a defender truck cab 300tdi 1997. I’ve had the chassis done, lof clutch, timing belt, etc. Doors next. The costs quickly mount up.

Good luck with your project though.

Hi and welcome!

Sounds like a great Landy whatever you decide to do with it. Don’t forget some pics of it! We like pics!
