As the subject says, pulling the indicator stalk (i.e. the one with the dip/high beam controller) to flash the headlights is difficult to do without switching on the high beams. I had a similar problem in a VW which I solved by replacing the entire stalk. I think the underlying problem was a burnt out or otherwise defective switch which formed part of the stalk.
Given that I'm still new to this Rangie (a 98 P38 DSE), has anyone had any similar problems and/or suggestions for a remedy. I'm thinking about getting a new stalk, but would weclome any thoughts before diving in headlong! For info, I've seen other posts about replacing switches located away from the stalk, however this current issue seems to be more of a "physical" switch problem rather than an electrical defect somewhere else down the chain.
Many thanks
Jonny
