19j, drives Ok, then when its warmed up it lacks power and shudders under load, ok if I tease the throttle, give it beans and it shudders. Thats a fuel/air issue, right? No smoke though. Its the lack of smoke thats puzzling me.

No fuel, no smoke I guess.?
Fort u wer a mechanic of sorts?
Or I'm getting mixed up again.

Was, dont do it no more, no fiel, or less fuel would run lean and give white smoke. Could be a filter issue, low fuel pressure , but you usually get white smoke. Only other thing I can think of is the boost diagphram or the damper on the bottom of the pump.

Diesel dont run lean, less fuel just means less revs, not enough fuel means no run.
Start at tank sender and work your way forwards.
Checked filter for fuel bug etc?

For a fuelling issue, the first thing I would do would be to replace the fuel filter and drain any water and crap from the fuel sedimenter. A new fuel filter doesn't cost much and is easy to change. It could be worth chucking a bottle of injector cleaner in the tank whilst you are at it.
Just be careful with the plastic screw on the base of the sedimenter, it's plastic and easy to snap, sometimes it's easier to remove the whole sedimenter bowl.

Lift pump gone duff.
As above do not unscrew the plastic drain on filter housing, just undo the lot and clean out.
