There's already loads of stickies on the main Freelander forum.

Could be transferred to the Technical Archive, then you'd only have to bump it once a decade to keep it on the first page!

Easy to find then.

Me and the boy now get really excited when we see another, especially as mine has had very few trips out of late. It should be up and running iminently though so looking forward to going out and flashing in it.... oo er

Very tidy indeed, but a lot of money for it
Def a bit overpriced. I wonder if the usual corroded brake pipes have been done, the the last MOT guy just didn't list them ?

And it's MOT expires on Weds this coming week !!

Freelander 1 doesn't seem so rare at the moment....but this is rare:

L-series diesel.
Commercial.
50th Anniversary edition.

Needs a spot of work! but I doubt anyone will see another. Wish I could have it! bit far away for me.

1997 Land Rover freelander £400

I "decoded" the reg as T797 XAS from the photos.

Thought I'd have a look at the link. Great project for someone, as said, quite rare these days.

But I don't go onto MarketPlace that often, and when I do, I always have a look at what Freelanders (if any) and Triumphs are for sale here. There was 1 F1 and a few Triumphs including this tastefully updated Herald...

FFS!

This thread been on my mind a bit... Today and yesterday I been driving around Gloucestershire and Somerset in my FL1, and saw lots of Landies. We went up the Malverns, to Cirencester, Bath, Cotswolds, Darts farm and round about a bit and nice to see lots of Landies.

I reckon every 10th vehicle was a Land Rover, mostly Range Rovers, a fair few FL2's, some discos and defenders but I felt quite surprised that I only saw 2 FL1's over the last two days.

So much so that today I was even having a good look in all the pub car parks as I went past to see where they all are 😜

Could be coincidence and I know @andyfreelandy only started this thread to bump up resale value of his collection but it did make me start to think FL1's are dying out.

Not at all 😀
The future is life extension. I also get a kick out of seeing low mileage well preserved old vehicles. You are right? FL 1s are getting scarce. Many have been used and abused due to value and scrapped due to VCU or rusty brake lines and the garage cost of replacement vs value of vehicle.

One day this will change. Like Escorts and Cortinas etc. Escorts were £100 -£500 when I was learning to drive. A mk1 Cortina in 1975 was part exchanged for £30 with 27k on the clock. Still not forgiven my uncle for this dastardly deed 😒
