Hi guys I have done a search but I am unable to find the answer.
I have owned my discovery td5 for just over 2months now since owning it i have noticed an irregular power loss when driving. Some times it starts and pulls like a train then others it starts fine but stuggles to get up the slightest of inclines flat out. During a drive to wales yesturday it did this a number of times but also I felt a judder and 2 lights illuminated for a second then went off again these lights were
fuel filter: excessive amounts of water in fuel
check engine: illuminates at any other time, the system is faulty- seek qualified assistance urgently.
these lights only illuminate for a second then go off again. This has happened another 2 times today. I have had a slight water loss but I think this was due to a leaking hose on the top of the engine which I have now replaced the jubilee clip and seems to have sealed. After driving to running temperature and squeezing the pipes they have pressure built up in them but when you squeeze them the water returns back into the water tank.
Apologies for the essay but I cant explain it any other way.
Many thanks to Replys Scott
