We have people joining the forum just to sell their overpriced tat. Sometimes the seller would receive the money but not send the goods To stop this happening a min post count has been applied to the for sales section. If you're joining to me an active member of the forum you'll hang in there and join in the banter. If you're joining just to get in the for sales you'll soon get hacked off and leave.

fully understand that as am in other car forums and a very active member, but surely if i'm looking to SPEND MONEY rather than make any, this rule is a little off.
Unless they feel my money wouldn't be good enough to offer!!!

So how do i get around the fact that i've joined to LOOK and GET HELP FINDING something but then caan't ask if anyone has what i want. Confusing wouldn't you say.

Unfortunately you can also get the tyre kickers, tea leafs and scammers on forums too. Once you have been around for a bit your 'credability' goes up and so therefore so do your forum privelages such as the for sales section.

Well yeh, taken on board, but hey, will probably end up spending 3-4000+ on a landy from elsewhere as opposed to from a member on here, which i would prefe,r as i intend sticking around.
Surely it would be more sensible, as a suggestion to Admin, to separate the WANTED from the FOR SALE, and help new members to use the site to benefit their ability to get more involved in the site if they want to become active with 4x4's and charge a fee for joining that enables you certain limited privileges such as being able to post a WANTED thread up. Just seems to make sense.
Tyre kickers would soon be discouraged by other means i'm sure.

I hope Admin and other members don't simply see me as a winger, i'm not, but i have spent a small fortune on my other car, almost all parts from members of the other forum.
I just don't see how this rule on wanting to spend money but being restricted, can really help existing or new members.

There, rant over.
Back to ebay and other trading sites in my search.

Hope to meet a few people shortly on some local get togethers and find out just how dirty i will be able to get the new motor when i find one.
