 ok I have a 95 disco 3.9 v8, wich was traped in a flsh flood. water everywhere. I changed the oil, transmition fluid and gas(petrol), removed the plugs and blowed out the pistons. should I do anything else or try to start it?? thanks Jay

make sure there is no water sitting in the air intakes also. give everything a good quirt with some wd40.

should I be consearned with all the relays or anything
probably not but i'd be concerned about relays and other electronic stuff. it might be an idea to open any lectronics stuff and give if a blow job from a hair dryer. although there is a chance tha any leccy boxes that have got wet will be fooked

I drained abought 5 us gallons of water with the oil, and abought the same with tranny fluid.

ok everything is dry now and when I turn the key to on I can hear the relays clicking. it tuns over and I have blue fire to the plugs, but it only turns over intermitantly. still wont start. anny ideas??

leccy box.. ecu and any thing that deals with that black magic known as electronics. even a damp spot in em can stop them working. if it bin submerged in water the joints might be gubbed. have you tried going straight from battery to starter incase its something simple like the strater circuit

no but I will. even if it does end up running should i CONSIDER PARTING IT and get another incase of future problems related to "the flood"

ok so I hot wired the starter and it cranked over a few time then the starter just started spinnig without engaging. brobly needs a starter huh, as well as lots of other things.
