because there is hardly any clearance for the end of the conrod in the bore its a git. if the conrod is bent it wont come out on its own. I was lucky enough to use an air hacksaw. manged to wedge the end of the rod with a bit of wood then cut 1 side of the rod off. took about 10 mins in total. be sure not to damge the crank and clean all filings off. the only other way is to take the engine out and rebuild it. makes a good orniment once its out. mine bent that much it took a good chunk off the bottom of the block casting when it happened.
