Started fitting tread plate to the bonnet today, got the bonnet and N/S wing done.

But the O/s wing is too high for the tread plate to fit under the bonnet so will have to loose the wing and push it down before i can fit the tead plate to that side.

Here's a pic of how it looks, getting near completion of the exterior now.

Pretty easy up til now, I spent about 10 minutes belting **** outta the joint to get it to come out of the housing with no such luck.

So i used the grinder and cut the two lugs off it each side]

Easy then just put it in the press and pushed it out.

Then refitted it all to my axle again.

Took me 3 hours to do that dont know quite why it took so long??

Well my landrover has finally passed its MOT! :5bcheers2:

Annoying thing is i cant tax it yet cause i sent the V5 off to have the details updated for the engine conversion and colour.

Still got plenty to do on it though, nearly finished the interior now.
Then kit out the back and still gotta change the cambelt before it becomes my daily driver.

Drove it home to day for the first time, didn't take it above 60, all seems great so far.

Tax it in the morning ready to drive and tow people out of the white stuff :)
