They would make a fortune in fines for obstructing the roads. It's illegal to make a spontanious protest in this country or have you not noticed. Unless you tell the authorities when and where and get permission it is illegal.

be a giggle watching em all get towed though:D

for 1 day everyone should just not use there motor and dont go to work, the government will lose out billions of pounds they will have to do something about it.all it needs is someone to organize it.any takers?

All the above is the reason im getting a derv RR. Its not really what I want. Had my heart set on a V8 (loved the 4.2 V8 in my old audi A8 but at least that got 23 mpg and had gas for when I was feeling poor(er)).
But with the scarey fuel consumption figures bandied about by you V8 owners and over £1.30 per litre at my nearest station I just cant justify the running costs and have got to go diesel. Pity I need the car for its size mainly and performance is secondary but it would have been nice....maybe next time.:(

95 RON is 39p a litre here but it's swings n roundabouts though; because of 300% import tax, a nearly new RR is well exorbitant and a decent 1995 P38 is over £9k. Road tax for a 4.6 is about £850 a year and spares (if you can get them) can cost about 3 x UK breakers prices). Cheap once its on the road but not as cheap to get it there : (

Don't get mad Guys, petrol here is about 20p per litre at the pumps, and the Oil Company's (Shell etc) still make a huge profit, so it just shows you how much TAX etc is added on. Try reading the book called '7 Sisters', then you will know who is running the Countries and why you are getting robbed at the petrol pumps.
