Can anyone direct me to some nice greenlanes in the peaks?

and does anyone know of or belong to any offroading clubs that operate in the peaks?

There is plenty of people who go out in the peaks regularly. Just search a few page back on the greenlaning thread.

No-one will send you grid ref's or locations of lanes though.
For a few reasons:

1) We dont know who you are and what your going to do on the lanes. There is a lot of people out there who just want to go mud plugging, and thats what gets lanes closed and gives us a bad name.

2) Weve all done the hard work to find them, so why should we make it easy for you?

:welcome2: to the forum though. The best advice is to find the thread for derbyshire, And ask if you can go along one day with the experienced guys. Most are friendly enough and are willing to help, You can learn from them and see how to find lanes and drive them responsibly.

Enjoy.

Ah ok, if your a member of a club im sure you or your club members know how to find lanes. Just do the obvious things and check with the relevant council before you drive them.

Good luck, take plenty of photos and post them here. We all love piccies. :D

Buxton & District LRC are worth an email. If you supply the grids for lanes you've found, they will tell you their current status and condition, in most cases.

Edited to add that my avatar is taken at Stanage Edge. That's a 'downhill only' route btw, as is Roych Clough now.

Dont do Roych Clough if your standard! Steps massive now!
Well it was when it nearly snapped my old defender in half!
