Hi All,
A retired mechanic friend is going to fix my car for me and has asked me to supply the following parts from Rimmer Bros but I would just like to make sure I have the correct wording before I phone them so I hope you can put me right if required. I have been asked to supply an off side rear hub assembly with an ABS slip ring and a pick up cable. Is this the correct wording and description? My car is a 2001 Freelander TD4 GS
Thanks,
Dick.

Ring up and talk to them. Even if you don't get the names of stuff exactly as most people use them they will be able to sort out what you mean in the course of the conversation. All parts bods are used to dealing with all sorts of people with different names for everything.

I speak from about 7 years experience behind a parts counter!

Offside hub sounds about right. ABS ring (I wouldn't use the word slip tbh) and I guess you mean an abs sensor when you say pick up cable.

Thanks for the info that was very helpful. I will now go and have a look at what its going to cost.
Thanks again,
Dick.

You need an ABS Reluctor Ring and an ABS Sensor. There are less expensive places to get those parts ;)
