Hi guys n gals.

I have painted my Ifor Williams canopy with black Hamerite direct to galv paint and it's stuck really well!

But i'm not 100% happy with the way it all looks and was wondering if i got some normal gloss paint but in a colour very close to Bonatti grey (as the rest of the vehicle is that clolour) would i be able to paint over the direct to galv paint, or would it react?

If anyone can advise it would be really appreciated as i don't want to bugger it all up!

Thanks in advace.

Gareth.

lol. Thanks for the advise guys. ;)

I have it on good authority from Halfords  that i can paint over it using any gloss paint so long as it isn't an aerosole.

So i'll do a test strip somewhere and let you know!

It should be fine & won't react - but to get a really good finish, give the straight to galv paint a quick going over with a grey scotchbrite pad

hope this helps

Cheers gents. Been wet n horrible this weekend so gonna garage it this week and give it a go. Will let you know!
