I notice no ones mentioned it yet but what colour is it? It's long been known that red Land Rovers won't go up hills. It used to be believed that this only apply to Defenders but seems to be across the board. Something to do with the molecular structure of the paint adversely affecting the aerodynamics of the vehicle
its not the colour its whats under the bonnets the problem,it would fly up hills if it was a v8 but probably overheat at the summit:D

Yeah maybe, but they don't fit a 90 litre fuel tank in the diesel and a 100 litre one in the V8 for nothing do they? :D:D

compared to the manual they dont seem to have the same grunt unless you put your foot flat to the floor hence take longer to get up to speed

As I have said numerous times, my DSE was plenty pokey enough, never gonna set the world alight, but defiantly not what I would call sluggish....I agree with Wammers, if it is that bad it has a problem....

Mine has the ECU chip Ant. If you poke it it flies but uses a little more fuel. If i wanted to go really fast i would get the Porsche up and running, but that really does drink titty. :D:D

Steve is going to have a look at it tomorrow night but based on Datateks info I had a look at the rubber hose connecting the plenum chamber to the MAP on the filter and it looks and feels a bit crap, is this a replacement part or can any old rubber tube be used, given the amount of oily deposits I washed from the intercooler I imagine it's fairly gungy in there......... there was a lot of soot in the plenum chamber which leads me to to suspect the coupling is also gunged up

Its the same as leK off pipes 3.2nm I believe

I still measure in feet :) the builders have to do the converting not me :)

A lot less mistakes made in feet and inches than with metric. In engineering we used both. But to differentiate when speaking, we used as an example. Three comma two would be 3.2 mm. Three point two would be 3.2 inches. A bit of a difference if misunderstood. :)

had diesel p38 autos & also a manuals im 100% a auto man myself, hard work with a stick you need a hydrolic left leg

my diesel p38 is an import and when it was first registered it was a Diesel manual and someone has converted it to an auto as far as am aware its not chipped or been remapped but it flies don't know if manuals are set up different than autos?

Had a look, the car seemed to be short-shifting so it was always off boost. I noticed that the becm thought the car was a motronic petrol. Changed it to robust edc and the gearbox now seemed to change correctly allowing the engine to make boost before upshifts. Dunno if it's the placebo effect. But it seemed better. Time will tell.

Sure as hell it would not work correctly with the wrong engine type set.
