Hi Guys,

1995(M) 4.6HSE.....N/S wing mirror broken (I think by wife!). Can anyone tell me before I take it off if it is a 6 Pin, 10 Pin or 12 Pin connector....typically the brummies decided to change it every few years!

Thanks in advance.

Nick.

Hi Datatek.....the latter, all singing and dancing one!
Then sure as hell it will not be a 6 pin, I would have thought 10, but if there is a 12 it could also be that, I know not. Easiest way is to take a look.

My mirrors have 10 pins, and dip/heat. The car loom has 12.wires, wonder if the mirrors are upgradable to the dimming type?

As has been said 12 pin for all singing and dancing. If the mirror that's left has the dimming facility and you replace the broken one without the facility, it can be a bit off putting at first when it gets dark, you soon get used to it.

I have mentioned before, there are only two plugs used on all P38s. Either 6 pin or 12 pin. In the 10 pin application 2 of the 12 pins are not used.
