I bought 1998 range rover p38 with 4.0 V8 and automatic transmission. It is usa model.
It has not been running over 10 years because immobilizer was on.

I bought ecu where immobiliser is removed. And i by-passed it.
Engine cranks and there is pressure in fuel lines.

I changed all coils and crank sensor. Crank sensor was damaged.
But still no spark. And i'm sure that immobiliser got nothing to do with this fault.

I tried to read fault codes with autel fault code reader but it says it can't read.

What other parts i should change? I have one spare part car.

You bought an ECU where the immobilizer was removed?

How did you do that then?

You do know that all ECU's have to talk with each other eh!

Immobilizer is programmed off the ecu and immo is by-passed in gems

No messages on the dash?

There are 2 layers of security on the P38. The EKA code (which for NAS should be 1515, I think) and the engine security code which is what your box of tricks is trying to fool.

Got it working :) fuse of ecu was burned. I checked them and all looked like okay but when i double checked one was burned so that it looked like ok

Correct generic EKA for NAS is 1515.
