There’s something about it I like, though I do tend to like the dirty slutty ones that aren’t worth it :D
£750 you not gonna get a 4.6 with 10k on clock, you’ll end up building it from scratch no matter what you get. And the boot is a treasure trove of bits n spares - think of the wonder and mystery awaiting....

In all fairness I would keep the roja red - if you got decent money for its actual worth it would only be enough to buy a neglected 4.6, then disappear into the vortex that is the V8 - like Bagshot - never to be seen again

Or he’s clicked ‘ignore’ :p:)

My baby will live again... just as soon as the starter motor arrives.

Bet you're excited to have the old beast back..

Just remember though, the lure of the V8 is an un ending one. And one day you will see yourself behind the wheel or a Prope...... Eh V8 Range Rover ;)

The Burble, the Power etc etc ;)

The Leaks the **** the tapping etc etc will all be to enjoy too ;)

Strictly speaking my helper cooked it. Connected a wire up wrong so it was constantly trying to engage. That's what the racket was. I worked it out too late. Still, second hand ones start at £30 on the Bay.

Nearly all done, new brakes all round(1 caliper off 3 times coz it wouldn't seal around the piston..fixed) New big battery, thankyou @Datatek followed your advice and got the big one from Batterymegastore.
New tyres all round, track rod, steering rod new oils all round. Scrubbed and "bleached" inside and out, gas service on Friday am (not something I'm gonna play with) and MOT end of the week. Phew, nearly a new car. Run it up and down the lanes a fair bit, private roads officer..! No signs of over heating, leaks or "ticking liners". Gears all work EAS up and down ok.
So until Friday MOT, we could be all good to go. Not bad for a £350 car, plus about £500 in parts, fingers crossed..

Wasn’t it alternator connections wrong way round?

@Bagshot she is looking good. 3 questions,

1.) do the TV’s work okay?

2.) how’s the non Nissan headlining?

3.) weren’t those wipers straight when you bought it? I’m sure they were you are teasing me ;)

Ha ha..
TV, work from DVD or sat nav.!
Roof lining..don't even want to touch it.yuk. One of the first jobs when it's done and I feel leather coming on for those pillars.
Wipers..never noticed em..:mad::mad::mad::mad:..!!

Mine is cleaning up. The rough wheels and pillars etc were not noticeable originally as it was all filthy. They stick out as manky now, cream leather would make such a difference if you want to do a ‘test set’ on mine :)

Headlining is constant issue, heat on the roof will cook a chicken in the sun. That foam just seems to multiply from nowhere! I may even just rip it out one day, rattle can the roof and pretend I’m in my defender
Your DSE one was nice but expensive

DSE went for £950 in the end but three people chasing it to the line..

2people not willing to go that extra £50?!
It’s well worth 950, will go for years if they keep throwing money at EAS :p Mine was cheap at £500, makes you realise how good a deal you got for £350, or that you will be in a world of **** soon

Hopefully not the latter :)

No, alternator connected to negative on starter solenoid. Easy mistake to make. Should have spotted it sooner when I was trying to work out where the racket was coming from.

Don’t think mine will reach? Sounds nasty tryin charge a starter :( Lucky it’s cheap ish fix

Look at your starter solenoid. 3 wires. 2 on positive, one on negative. Of the 2 on positive, one thick bast+rd goes to battery and 1 to the loom which goes, I assume, to the alternator.

That's a real bag of parts. No idea what a sports suspension pack is. I sold a better one than that fully working for £750. £750 from Liskeard for a bag of bastardised parts really is hoping!

It didnt sell, no one willing to pay £750 for that! :D:D
Is relisted @750 starting bid :rolleyes:
