Tried that, among a few other holes as well, no luck.
Problem is the key takes quite a bit of jiggling and guesswork to get to position 2, that's why I was hoping to find someone who knew where the hole was so that at least I'd know I had that bit right while I was pulling and jiggling the other bit.
I have the end off alright, that's how I'm starting it at the moment, once the key is in the ignition you can just stick a flat screwdriver into the end bit that comes off and it will start.
I can’t find anything in RAVE. It’s hidden in there somewhere.
Looks like something pushes in and it twists away from the black bit like it’s held in on the cam shape?
There is one, I'm not posting where it is on here though. I have fitted the barrel from my scrapper to my project car as the project car barrel had been butchered. There isn't one as far as i know. They are thief proof barrels.

When I enquired LR told me that I would require the whole steering column housing assembly and that it was no longer available and even if it was it would be mega bucks I was sure that could not be right, what goes together comes apart if you can find the right informationOk i don't blame you for withholding that. Seeing as how Land rover sell a replacement barrel it has to be possible. But an how to on here would not be a good idea.
The up to date is that I have the key moving freely now, soaked the key in diesel several times
The up to date is that I have the key moving freely now, soaked the key in diesel several times and it will turn now no bother. Still have to push it in and out a few times to let it know the key is not still in the ignition but an improvement is an improvement.
